We will die... whether we laugh or not!

An evening with Bouffons! Talk by Sophie Amieva and performance with Hannah Gross, Kayla Juntilla, John Kang, Ryan Pater & Eleanore Pienta.

On Monday July 20th, we invite you to take a look at the origins of Bouffons as a tool to disrupt cruelty, anxiety and adversity to which our vulnerable lives are subjected to. Connecting the dots through Commedia dell’Arte, ancient Carnival rites and tricksters far beyond our patriarchal system, that naughty, kindred spirit evolves, and has many names, but is rigorously constant. Where humans are, they are!

Let‘s embrace together this instinct, this tool, this method: making laughter a practice towards letting go!

We will die... whether we laugh or not is sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council.
